Network Engineer (Trading)

Location: US or Canada; remote-first with in-person sprints and retreats

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Own the network layer supporting trading systems.
• Design connectivity from scratch for colocation environments and exchange feeds.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and design production BGP and OSPF routing.
• Implement and maintain precision time synchronization using PTP or comparable technologies.
• Manage firewall policies and build Python-based network automation and tooling.
• Take full ownership of the network function as the sole network specialist.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on L2/L3 networking experience in latency-sensitive, colocation, or trading environments.
• Strong production experience with BGP and OSPF configuration, troubleshooting, and design.
• Production experience with PTP or comparable precision time synchronization.
• Python experience for network automation and tooling.
• Hands-on firewall management experience.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.

Nice to have

• CCNP or CCIE certification.
• Infrastructure as code for network configuration using Ansible or Terraform.
• Hybrid-cloud connectivity experience with AWS Direct Connect or Azure ExpressRoute.
• Exposure to DPDK or kernel bypass technologies.
