Senior Network Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; hybrid position requiring three days of in-office collaboration per week and two remote days. The role covers European working hours in a follow-the-sun support model.

Salary: CZK 2,500,000–2,900,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and deploy low-latency network infrastructure across exchange colocation sites, including routing, switching, multicast distribution, cross-connects, and carrier circuits.
• Own the end-to-end health of market-data and order-flow paths, including multicast delivery, gap recovery, latency, and capacity.
• Lead regional network projects involving site builds, capacity expansion, hybrid-cloud extensions, and technology refreshes.
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents, drive corrective actions, and document incident outcomes.
• Execute configuration changes safely in latency-sensitive production environments.
• Partner with systems, infrastructure, and global operations teams.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience designing and operating production networks.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IP multicast, PIM, and IGMP.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Comfortable troubleshooting Linux hosts and managing critical incidents under pressure.
• Practical network automation experience with Python and Ansible.
• Availability for European working hours and the Prague hybrid schedule is required.

Nice to have

• Financial market-data connectivity or exchange-networking experience.
• Precision timing, PTPv2, hardware timestamping, or grandmaster clock experience.
• Kernel-bypass networking, precision packet capture, and latency measurement.
• Colocation physical-layer expertise, including cross-connects, dark fibre, DWDM, and carrier connectivity.
• Hybrid-cloud networking experience.
