Network Specialist - Core

Location: Montreal, London, or New York

Salary: Minimum base salary of $120,000 annually when located in New York; discretionary bonuses may also apply.

What you will do

• Architect and implement scalable, highly available network solutions across LAN, WAN, datacenter, campus, and cloud environments.
• Translate business requirements into technical network architectures and produce detailed documentation and diagrams.
• Deliver network infrastructure projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Select and evaluate network hardware, software, and technologies to improve performance, resilience, and cost efficiency.
• Guide the network reliability team on implementation and support practices.
• Provide L3 escalation support and identify opportunities for automation and infrastructure improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in network engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
• CCNP certification or higher; CCIE is preferred.
• At least 7 years of network engineering and project delivery experience.
• Deep knowledge of routing, switching, multicast, monitoring, network security, and datacenter or office infrastructure.
• Experience with Arista and Cisco, including Cisco Unified Communication, collaboration products, and voice technologies.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, AWS, GCP, Azure, Git, Python, Ansible, Prometheus, CVP, Elastic, and Grafana.

Nice to have

• CCIE certification.
• Experience with network diagnostic and performance tools such as netcat, tcptrace, and Wireshark.
