IT Technician

What you will do

• Provide onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and specialized mining equipment interfaces.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, connectivity, authentication, VPN, and account-management issues.
• Maintain switches, access points, routers, fiber and copper connections, communication systems, VoIP, radios, and industrial wireless networks.
• Support operational technology including rugged tablets, PLC interfaces, fleet-management hardware, and production, dispatch, and safety-monitoring sensors.
• Deploy equipment, maintain inventories, perform preventive maintenance, and keep configuration and asset records current.
• Document incidents and system performance, escalate issues, and provide status updates to IT leadership and site management.

Requirements

• Ability to work onsite at a remote mine site in Moab, Utah.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network, connectivity, and authentication issues.
• Ability to support network infrastructure, communication systems, and field equipment.
• Ability to follow mine-site safety protocols and participate in safety meetings and training.
• Ability to follow cybersecurity policies and support patches, updates, and security controls.
• Strong documentation, inventory-management, and incident-reporting skills.
