Technical Specialist, Test Vehicle Management (Automotive)

Location: Blythewood, South Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office. Domestic and international travel is required approximately 25% of the time, with a valid driver's license.

Salary: $110,000–$135,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Create and implement test strategies for whole-vehicle performance.
• Design, plan, conduct, and report whole-vehicle testing, including build parameters, results, findings, and recommendations.
• Investigate production failures and issues, determine root causes, and coordinate countermeasures.
• Maintain and calibrate on-site R&D testing equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Collaborate with Verification & Validation, Body, Interior, Energy, supplier, concept, and systems architecture teams.
• Support pre-series vehicle builds, hands-on prototyping, design reviews, and compliance with safety standards and U.S. regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, systems, or engineering management, or a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in simulation and testing within the automotive or electric vehicle industry.
• Experience leading whole-vehicle test planning and adjusting schedules to meet customer needs.
• Proficiency with specialized testing equipment, data acquisition systems, and analysis software.
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols, with strong technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead simultaneous engineering teams, and coordinate projects independently.
