Lead Maintenance Technician (Biotech)

What you will do

• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance across GMP utility systems, process equipment, building systems, and cleanroom infrastructure.
• Use CMMS software to manage preventive maintenance assignments and document work in compliance with GMP requirements.
• Perform or oversee vendor maintenance and calibrations for pumps, valves, autoclaves, centrifuges, reactors, BSCs, isolators, WFI systems, clean steam, compressed gases, and HVAC equipment.
• Interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, wiring diagrams, specifications, SOPs, and work instructions to plan repairs and maintenance.
• Evaluate equipment performance, report failures, improve maintenance practices and SOPs, and support annual shutdowns.
• Support CAPA, deviations, and change management while escorting contractors and maintaining safe, orderly work areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Six or more years of applicable experience in a GMP environment preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical equipment, building systems, and BMS.
• Ability to use CMMS programs such as Blue Mountain RAM, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs, P&IDs, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Ability to lead and mentor less experienced technicians, communicate professionally, and lift up to 50 lbs while working in varied environmental conditions.

Nice to have

• Trade school or undergraduate education.
• Professional license in wastewater treatment, plumbing, electrical, or refrigeration.
• Experience with Siemens Desigo BMS or another control system.
