Engineering Technician

What you will do

• Operate shredders, separators, conveyors, screens, bagging systems, forklifts, and other industrial equipment.
• Monitor material flow and equipment performance, adjusting settings to meet quality and recovery targets.
• Perform sampling, testing, quality checks, and operational data recording for process and metallurgical control.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-control issues and support planned maintenance.
• Support engineering projects through data collection, testing, field verification, and implementation of recommendations.
• Communicate equipment and process issues clearly during collaboration and shift handovers.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in industrial, mining, processing, or plant operations is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and safe operation of forklifts and industrial material-handling equipment.
• Basic understanding of process-control systems, sensors, and instrumentation.
• Ability to read gauges, interpret data, follow technical procedures, and read technical blueprints and industrial schematics.
• Basic to intermediate CAD experience, such as AutoCAD, and proficiency with Excel, Teams, email, and production-reporting systems.
• Ability to work on-site in Moab, Utah, walk over rough terrain, climb ladders, lift at least 50 pounds, work in extreme weather, and use required PPE around hazardous materials.
