Maintenance Technician (Geotechnical Safety)

Location: Independence, Missouri; work at the Lee's Summit location

What you will do

• Maintain monthly and quarterly geotechnical safety readings using instrumentation and Excel data entry.
• Coordinate annual safety inspections across tenant facilities and common areas, including mapping and documentation.
• Perform manual ceiling scaling and coordinate assistance from maintenance staff.
• Communicate with mining consultants and coordinate work with geotechnical project contractors.
• Implement safety programs and perform general maintenance assignments as directed.
• Report to and work under the Director of Operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in an underground or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to organize and maintain detailed inspection records with strong attention to detail.
• Effective written and oral communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and Microsoft Word.
• Must be able to pass a government background check.

Nice to have

• Experience with geotechnical safety readings, safety inspections, audits, and state requirements.
• AutoCAD skills.
