Flow Cytometry Field Applications Manager (Life Sciences)

Location: Remote from the United States, covering the Upper Midwest and Northeast regions; posting should be for Chicago, St. Louis, Denver, or Houston. Up to 85% overnight travel is required.

Annual salary: $120,000–$150,000, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Field Applications Scientists.
• Support sales growth, funnel acceleration, and positioning of value-added services.
• Lead technical and scientific pre- and post-sales support, including presentations, demonstrations, protocol development, training, and troubleshooting.
• Establish best practices, standard work, workflows, and performance metrics for the applications team.
• Ensure team accountability, compliance, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Represent the organization at conferences and workshops.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, or a related life science discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in flow cytometry.
• Experience in applications, technical support, or a field-based scientific role.
• Ability to travel up to 85% overnight.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of life science leadership or management experience.
• Field Applications Management experience, especially in flow cytometry.
• Clinical flow cytometry experience.
