ERP Finance Analyst (SAP S/4HANA)

Location: Porto, Portugal

Salary: €42,000 gross per year, plus meal allowance, health insurance, and other benefits

Support a new IT Hub in Portugal for a reference retail company developing international ERP capabilities.

What you will do

• Translate finance business requirements into accurate SAP S/4HANA functionalities.
• Support Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, Tax, Consolidation, reporting, and compliance processes.
• Act as a bridge between finance stakeholders, the ERP Finance Architect, and IT delivery teams.
• Gather, document, and validate requirements, support solution design workshops, and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Execute system testing and support user acceptance testing, end-user training, documentation, and post-go-live support.
• Identify process improvements and support continuous ERP optimization across regions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Information Systems.
• 6+ years of ERP implementation experience in finance management modules, including 3–5 years supporting ERP finance processes and systems.
• Working knowledge of SAP Finance modules, ideally SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of finance operations, reporting, IFRS, tax, group reporting, data governance, configuration, and testing procedures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, workshop facilitation, teamwork, and user-support skills.
• Professional English required; availability for intense travel and occasional off-hours support during critical incidents.

• Experience with global rollouts and localization challenges.
• Experience in an international retail environment.
• Knowledge of additional languages.
