Supplier Manager for Field Services (Airport IT)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; hybrid work model with occasional travel to Narita and Kansai airport locations

What you will do

• Build and maintain relationships with IT field service suppliers and vendors supporting airport operations.
• Monitor supplier performance against SLAs, KPIs, contractual commitments, and service quality targets.
• Coordinate on-site IT support activities across airport terminals, airside, and landside environments.
• Lead vendor governance meetings, performance reviews, improvement initiatives, and supplier escalations.
• Validate supplier invoices, support budgeting for supplier costs, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with national regulations, cybersecurity standards, and airport safety guidelines while supporting projects and system rollouts.

Requirements

• Strong experience in vendor or supplier management, including escalations and contractual adherence.
• Understanding of IT Service Management principles, such as the ITIL framework.
• Experience tracking and reporting service performance against operational metrics.
• Strong relationship-building, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Japanese is required for vendor and stakeholder communication.
• Basic English is required for reporting and coordination.

Nice to have

• ITIL certification.
• Familiarity with airport IT systems such as CUPPS, FIDS, and baggage-handling systems.
