Health Coach - Remote

Location: Remote; availability required for shifts between 10:30am and 9:00pm CST, rotating Saturdays, and six weeks of training from 8:00am to 4:30pm CST.

Compensation: $21.50 per hour, or $25 per hour with NBC-HWC or CHES certification.

What you will do

• Conduct inbound and outbound engagement, enrollment, coaching, and follow-up calls with program participants.
• Provide individualized behavior-change coaching focused on lifestyle improvement and reduction of health risks.
• Use motivational interviewing techniques to educate, support, and motivate members.
• Coordinate services with nurses, pharmacists, external vendors, and other multidisciplinary care team members.
• Manage assigned schedules and caseloads while meeting customer and connectivity requirements.
• Document member interactions, track progress and program efficacy, and present findings in team meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field such as Psychology, Nutrition, or Exercise Science; in specific cases, NBHWC certification may substitute for the health-related degree requirement.
• 1–2 years of related experience; customer service experience is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, computer data-entry, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to conduct telephonic conversations while navigating software and entering data for extended periods.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize a moderate workload, and adapt to schedule changes.
• Hard-wired internet connection required; Wi-Fi is not permitted.

Nice to have

• Experience with contact center benchmarks, schedule adherence, and operational metrics.
• Knowledge of smoking cessation, weight management, nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and sleep topics.
• NBC-HWC or CHES certification.
