What you will do

  • Develop firmware for highly integrated embedded medical devices.
  • Contribute throughout the product lifecycle, from exploration and prototyping to detailed design, testing, and mass production.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and firmware engineering teams on system architecture and integration.
  • Ensure design quality, regulatory compliance, clear documentation, and robust testing.
  • Support embedded software DevOps through build and test automation.
  • Evaluate and apply AI tools to firmware development where appropriate.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional firmware or embedded software development experience.
  • Strong C programming skills in a firmware or embedded systems context.
  • Experience with low-level drivers and protocols including ADC, PWM, I2C, SPI, and UART.
  • Proficiency in Python for firmware testing tools and task automation.
  • Experience with Git, embedded build systems, J-Link, debugging, and team-based development workflows.
  • Ability to read datasheets and schematics and work with standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and power supplies.

Nice to have

  • Medical device or other highly regulated industry experience.
  • AI-assisted firmware development, including copilot and agentic workflows.
  • RTOS experience, especially Zephyr.
  • Nordic nRF5x SoCs, Nordic Connect SDK, and Bluetooth LE.
  • Bootloaders, firmware updates, memory maps, embedded CI pipelines, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
