Manager, Data Engineering

hirify.global Financial Services, hirify.global and Lexus's finance and insurance business in North America, is modernizing enterprise data infrastructure to support customer experiences, analytics, AI, and data products.

What you will do

• Lead the vision, design, and implementation of an enterprise-wide data acquisition and analytical platform.
• Build production-grade pipelines and self-service tools for acquiring data from internal systems, APIs, microservices, third-party sources, and event streams.
• Architect cloud-native lake and lakehouse solutions using AWS and Snowflake, including multi-tenant capabilities for hirify.global entities.
• Define data engineering practices covering data modeling, schema evolution, data contracts, testing, lineage, cataloging, and governance.
• Implement data quality frameworks with validation, anomaly detection, freshness checks, and alerting.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of 6+ engineers while communicating technical risks and recommendations to business and technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10–15+ years of experience in data engineering and platform technology leadership.
• Hands-on experience with CDC, APIs, file transfer, and event streaming.
• Deep knowledge of cloud-based lake and lakehouse architectures, including AWS, Redshift, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Java, with experience in microservices and APIs.
• Experience designing scalable, secure, and governed data platforms.
• Must have the right to work in the United States without current or future hirify.global immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification or higher.
• Experience with data catalogs, data privacy, and governance frameworks.
• Exposure to Hadoop, Spark, Hive, or other big data ecosystems.
• Experience in banking or insurance, including financial instruments or warranty policies.
