Technical Manager (AI)

Location: Dublin, Ohio, United States; hybrid with three days per week on-site

What you will do

• Lead two teams of full-stack developers, cloud engineers, and specialists covering ETL, data pipelines, QA automation, and business systems analysis.
• Hire, onboard, coach, and develop engineers while managing performance, succession planning, staffing, and team capacity.
• Partner with Product Managers and organizational leadership on roadmaps, prioritization, milestones, delivery plans, and tradeoffs.
• Drive Agile execution, release planning, JIRA management, delivery metrics, cross-team coordination, and risk communication.
• Lead responsible adoption of AI-assisted workflows for coding, testing, documentation, code review, automation, anomaly detection, and intelligent alerting.
• Oversee AWS architecture, API and service standards, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, incident response, security practices, data platforms, and disaster recovery readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including 1–3 years managing software engineering teams.
• Experience building and retaining high-performing engineering teams and partnering with Product Managers in an Agile environment.
• Technical foundation in Java, Spring Boot, React, containers, microservices, AWS, and EKS or ECS.
• Knowledge of relational databases, search technologies, ETL and data pipelines, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, incident management, and operational readiness.
• Experience introducing AI-assisted tools or workflows responsibly, with strong communication skills for explaining architecture, risks, and tradeoffs.

Nice to have

• Strong AWS and Snowflake experience.
• Experience with Google Analytics for reporting and insights.
• Familiarity with accessibility for web applications and platform UI integrations.
