Engineering Manager (Autonomous Driving)

What you will do

• Lead the evolution and scaling of the autonomous driving simulation platform.
• Manage software engineering and software validation and verification teams working on simulation infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, data verification tools, and scenario creation.
• Oversee high-fidelity sensor simulation, closed-loop replay of fleet data, and synthetic scenario generation.
• Collaborate with Planning, Perception, Control, and Safety teams to integrate simulation results into the development lifecycle.
• Optimize CI/CD workflows and resource allocation for regression testing and on-demand experiments.
• Standardize scenario management, quality control, metrics, and benchmarking for simulation performance, coverage, and mileage.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in engineering management.
• Experience in autonomous driving, robotics, or complex system simulation.
• Experience with simulation tools such as CARLA, Unreal Engine, or custom simulator development.
• Strong backend and frontend engineering experience with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, React, and Vite.
• Knowledge of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins-based CI/CD orchestration.
• Experience building high-volume simulation data pipelines for ingestion, storage, and visualization.

Nice to have

• Experience with LiDAR, radar, camera sensor simulation, and digital twin technologies.
• Familiarity with data-driven testing, bag replay, event processing, and large-scale data processing.
• Experience hiring and scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced R&D environment.
