Fluids & Propulsion Technician (I-III) (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite near Long Beach, California, United States. The role requires working in and around constrained or confined spaces and is subject to U.S. ITAR export-control eligibility requirements.

Base salary: $26.50–$36/hour for Technician I, $31.50–$41.50/hour for Technician II, and $36–$50.50/hour for Technician III.

What you will do

• Build, install, integrate, and test propulsion and fluid-system hardware, including thrusters, tanks, valves, manifolds, fluid lines, panels, trays, and harnessing.
• Bend, flare, fit, route, clean, assemble, and disassemble tubing, valves, fittings, and other propulsion components.
• Prepare and handle pressure-system components while operating cleaning, purge, pressure, and test equipment.
• Support engineering and quality teams with inspections, checkouts, troubleshooting, nonconformance resolution, and functional testing.
• Conduct and document proof, leak, pressure, flow, functional, and qualification tests.
• Improve assembly processes, tooling, work instructions, and manufacturing methods while supporting less experienced technicians as appropriate.

Requirements

• Technical degree, certificate, apprenticeship, or equivalent training in aerospace, mechanical, manufacturing, welding, or a related field.
• Relevant experience assembling, integrating, and testing aerospace fluids, propulsion, pressure, or high-reliability systems.
• Experience with fluids panels, tray assemblies, tubing, fittings, valves, manifolds, pressure systems, or related hardware.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, process sheets, and work instructions and accurately document completed work and test results.
• Experience with ESD-sensitive, FOD-critical, and cleanroom environments; ability to use hand tools, torque tools, precision measurement equipment, and specialized test equipment.
• Must be located near Long Beach, California, and must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Aerospace welding, brazing, orbital tube welding, tube bending, flaring, swaging, and precision fitting.
• Experience with hazardous fluids, high-pressure gas, cryogenic, or vacuum systems.
• Experience supporting spacecraft integration, qualification testing, or production operations.
• Welding, brazing, cleanroom, hazardous-materials, or pressure-system certifications.
