Focus on developing weld schedules, interpreting technical drawings, operating automated welding equipment, and verifying weld integrity through NDE processes.
Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite at Headquarters. Monday–Friday B shift, 2:00pm–10:30pm, with flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts.
Hourly pay range: $30–$40 USD for California.

What you will do
- Weld and fabricate fluid systems and sub-assembly components for Rutherford and Archimedes rocket engines.
- Develop orbital tube welding schedules for tubing from 1/4 inch to 6 inches.
- Perform tube bending, flaring, fit-up, and preparation according to project specifications and industry standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Operate and maintain Orbitalum, AMI, and similar orbital tube welding equipment.
- Work across production floors, equipment areas, and field locations while handling materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of orbital tube welding experience in aviation, aerospace, or a similar industry for level II; at least 5 years for level III.
- Experience with tubing from 1/4 inch to 6 inches.
- Experience with orbital tube welding machines or automated fabrication equipment for level III.
- Knowledge of non-destructive examination processes for level III.
- High school diploma or GED for level II.
- For work in U.S. offices, candidates must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or eligibility for required government authorizations.
Nice to have
- 8 or more years of orbital tube welding experience in aviation, aerospace, or a similar industry.
- Welding or tube fabrication certification.
- Familiarity with ASME or ISO standards.
- Strong understanding of non-destructive examination processes.
