Mobile Lift Technician I (Aerospace)

Location: Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, United States; onsite work at a government partner location

Hiring range: $26.84–$40.26 per hour

What you will do

• Lift, move, position, and reposition loads using fixed-cab, swing-cab, and lattice-boom mobile cranes.
• Set up, inspect, maintain, and dismantle rigging equipment.
• Operate as a crane operator, rigger, and/or signaler during lift operations.
• Provide precise hand signals and radio communication to coordinate crane movements.
• Support hands-on propulsion and stage test operations in outdoor environments and changing weather conditions.

Requirements

• Knowledge of crane operation across varied terrain and load conditions.
• Experience setting up and dismantling mobile cranes, including leveling, outriggers, and stability procedures.
• Ability to assess and manage load dynamics.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety standards.
• Current NCCCO or NCCER Rigger II certification, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in standard industry hand signals and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Nice to have

• Experience coordinating or leading mobile-crane lift operations.
