Energy Procurement Specialist, Nordics (AI)

Location: Hybrid, based in Helsinki, with travel to sites and counterparties across the Nordics

What you will do

• Own hirify.global's Nordic power position, including contracted volumes, pricing, horizons, and next steps.
• Lead PPAs end to end, from origination and counterparty selection through structuring, negotiation, closing, and ongoing commercial relationships.
• Set portfolio strategy across financial and physical PPAs, baseload and profiled products, and spot exposure.
• Manage power pricing, hedging, commitments, and risk across market scenarios.
• Build direct relationships with utilities, generators, developers, and Nordic trading desks.
• Translate data center expansion plans into long-term procurement plans with Construction, Site Acquisition, and Finance.

Requirements

• Five or more years of practical power procurement, origination, or trading experience.
• Personally led and closed PPAs or long-term power contracts, with detailed knowledge of volumes, structures, and outcomes.
• Nordic market experience, including essential Finnish market experience and an established local counterparty network.
• Fluency in spot and forward pricing, price areas, baseload versus profile, fixed-volume premiums, and hedging instruments.
• Commercial independence and experience negotiating directly with sophisticated counterparties.
• Fluent Finnish and English.

Nice to have

• Power procurement experience for a data center or another large industrial load.
• Exposure to renewable project development and the developer side of a PPA.
• Coverage of a second Nordic or European market.
• Experience building a procurement function from the ground up.
