Technical Accounting Manager (AdTech)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States. Employees near the Bellevue or New York offices work hybrid, coming into the office 1–3 days per week; employees located farther away may work fully remotely. Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $117,688–$148,289 USD annually, plus equity and applicable bonus or commission.

What you will do

• Research complex US GAAP standards, author technical accounting memos, and establish accounting policies.
• Advise FP&A, Legal, and leadership on non-routine business scenarios and transaction impacts.
• Support month-end close for revenue, capitalized software, leases, commissions, and equity administration.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, investor reporting packages, and executive board materials.
• Help lead the annual external audit, including PBC deliverables, auditor testing, and technical queries.
• Support accounting system implementations and design scalable, audit-ready workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and an active CPA license.
• 4–6+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, and audit management.
• Deep hands-on experience with US GAAP research, technical memos, and ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 340, ASC 350, and ASC 718.
• Experience building accounting policies and frameworks in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with modern financial systems and reporting tools such as NetSuite, Carta, and Tableau.

Nice to have

• 2+ years in Big 4 or top-tier public accounting, preferably Accounting Advisory Services.
• Experience in high-growth SaaS, AdTech, media measurement, or recurring-revenue businesses.
• Experience with NetSuite, Carta, Workiva, M&A accounting, financing events, public-readiness initiatives, or investor materials.
