Production Engineering Manager (Battery Materials)

Location: McCarran, Nevada, United States. Split work environment between the office and production facility, with extended periods in production areas and occasional weekends or alternate shifts.

What you will do

• Build and lead engineering teams working closely with operations and maintenance to ensure safe, sustainable, and profitable processes.
• Use data to define strategies for industrial process optimization, debottlenecking, and continuous improvement.
• Define engineering workflows, team plans, design scopes, assumptions, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Lead concept development, validate proposed technical solutions, and participate in cross-functional equipment development.
• Lead and participate in research and development aligned with strategic objectives.
• Review designs for simplicity, cost-effectiveness, functionality, and robustness while identifying risks and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, chemical, or metallurgical engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in industrial chemical processing or metallurgical operations.
• Experience planning and budgeting large capital projects.
• Experience preparing mechanical contract drawings and engineering specifications.
• Demonstrated success leading teams, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work safely in office and production environments, including exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes while using PPE; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
