Associate Director, PMO (Medical Products): Leading complex medical product programs from planning through implementation with an accent on portfolio prioritization, product commercialization, budget management, and cross-functional execution. Focus on directing global launches, managing technology transfers and external vendors, resolving program risks, and developing portfolio and project management capabilities.

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $176,000–$242,000 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

  • Lead a portfolio of complex medical product programs, managing execution, budgets, delivery timelines, and program risks.
  • Drive long-range planning through product estimation, portfolio assessment, pipeline prioritization, and strategic initiative planning.
  • Direct major global product launches and business development execution across cross-functional teams.
  • Develop program strategies, establish goals, guide team performance, and mentor project management professionals.
  • Build process improvements that increase operational efficiency and business productivity.
  • Align program direction with stakeholders, market insights, supply chain considerations, and business priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of product life cycle experience.
  • MBA/MS preferred, with 10+ years of product development or equivalent new product commercialization experience.
  • Experience with technology transfers and external vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of medical products, operations, regulatory, quality, and product development.
  • Strategic leadership, mentoring, management, financial analysis, and budget-setting capabilities.
  • PMI or IPMA certification, or equivalent experience, is desired.
