What you will do

  • Lead and mentor a team of propulsion and fluids production engineers, including technical development, metrics, and performance management.
  • Own production engineering strategy for propulsion and fluids components and systems across low- and high-rate spacecraft programs.
  • Partner with design engineering on technical reviews and manufacturability decisions from concept through production.
  • Set up and scale factory capabilities, manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production systems.
  • Develop documentation and work instructions for fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing of propulsion and fluids systems and ground support equipment.
  • Support production on the floor by resolving bottlenecks, non-conformances, technical issues, and supplier-related challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
  • Manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability systems appropriate to the role’s scope.
  • Hands-on experience fabricating, assembling, and testing propulsion or fluid-system hardware, including tube bending and routing, welding, brazing, pressure vessels, valves, leak testing, and functional testing.
  • Experience with PLM, CAD, MES, configuration management, and data management systems.
  • Experience working with AS9100 processes and standards.
  • Experience building and producing classified hardware in SCIFs or SAP facilities, and eligibility under U.S. ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing, manufacturing, assembling, and testing propulsion components such as turbomachinery, thrusters, valves, pressure tanks, combustion devices, feed systems, or environmental control units.
  • Expertise in a propulsion or fluids manufacturing domain, such as CNC machining, metal forming, additive manufacturing, tube cleaning and routing, welding, tooling, vehicle integration, or precision alignment.
  • Experience selecting and commissioning production equipment and developing supplier capabilities.
  • Experience with spacecraft environmental and qualification testing, including TVAC, vibration, shock, proof pressure, or acceptance testing.

Culture & Benefits

  • Hybrid work environment with hands-on production activity performed on site.
  • Health, dental, vision, and HRA/HSA options.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays.
  • 401(k) and parental leave.
