Backend Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs for the card issuing platform.
• Build high-availability, scalable systems for card issuance and payment processing.
• Integrate payment providers and third-party systems for local and global card transactions.
• Troubleshoot system issues, performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, bugs, and technical debt.
• Develop internal operational tools and reporting systems, and improve integration, regression testing, and system reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, incident response, on-call support, and cross-functional feature delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of backend engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and experience building RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and SQL databases, preferably MariaDB or MySQL.
• Experience with Git, GitHub workflows, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, observability tools, and AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, or Cursor.
