Backend Engineer (Java)

Location: Onsite in Manila (One Ayala Tower 2)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain reliable backend applications using modern technology stacks.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient software delivery.
• Write automated tests and incorporate security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design new features.
• Troubleshoot system issues using logs and monitoring alerts.
• Contribute to team growth through mentorship and participation in technical interviews.

Requirements

• Strong backend programming experience with Java/Spring Boot or Golang.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and integrating with databases and messaging services.
• Solid understanding of software engineering foundations including OOP, design patterns, and TDD.
• Effective collaboration skills in Agile environments.
