What you will do

• Design, build, and scale backend services and APIs powering core financial infrastructure including payments, billing, settlements, and ledgers.
• Lead architecture and evolution of highly available, fault-tolerant financial platforms processing millions of dollars in transactions.
• Provide technical leadership on distributed systems design, financial data consistency, and platform strategy.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of impactful initiatives collaborating with Product, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Engineering teams.
• Integrate with external payment processors, banking partners, and financial service providers.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices including observability, automated testing, and secure software development.

Requirements

• Must be located in the United States for remote work
• 6–8+ years of professional software engineering experience with focus on backend development.
• 4+ years hands-on Java experience with Spring framework and JVM tuning.
• Experience building or operating financial systems including payments, money movement, ledgers, and reconciliation.
• Proficient with AWS, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), relational and NoSQL databases.
• English: C1 level or higher required
