Senior Mechanical Engineer, Production (Battery Manufacturing)

Location: McCarran, Nevada, United States. Split work environment between the office and production facility, with extended periods in production and occasional weekends or alternate shifts as needed.

hirify.global is developing a localized battery supply chain focused on battery recovery, reuse, recycling, energy storage, and battery materials production in the United States.

What you will do

• Lead the specification, procurement, and implementation of capital equipment across pilot and commercial-scale manufacturing operations.
• Design tooling and fixtures and review new process and equipment designs.
• Partner with the mechanical development team to transition new processes and equipment into manufacturing.
• Create process work instructions and standard operating procedures and train manufacturing personnel.
• Analyze process data and metrics to improve safety, quality, and cost.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and execute continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, including dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Experience with industrial-scale processes and equipment, automation, capital acquisition, and process or equipment validation.
• Experience with statistical data collection, analysis, reporting, and technical writing.
• Ability to work safely in office and production environments, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., maintain punctual attendance, and communicate clearly.

Nice to have

• Previous project management experience.
• Solid modeling 3D CAD experience.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
