Principal Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Wilmington, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $165,320.12–$247,980.18 per year, with potential annual incentive and/or long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Lead and support product development teams advancing new technologies and bringing products to market.
• Provide technical guidance and act as the escalation point for complex engineering problems.
• Support and mentor teams of 3–15 engineers based on project scope and complexity.
• Coach engineers on project management, proposals, statements of work, and budget reviews.
• Collaborate with scientists, electrical and optical engineers, manufacturing partners, and industrial designers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Broad technical background and willingness to learn unfamiliar domains.
• Experience in engineering consulting and leading technical teams.
• Experience mentoring and coaching engineers.
• 3D CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks.
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as injection molding, machining, sheet metal, and casting.

• Experience designing biomedical or automation products.
