TL;DR
Continuous Improvement Specialist II (Industrial Engineering) (Lean Six Sigma/Data Analysis): Leading end-to-end process improvement initiatives, analyzing operational and financial data, and developing standards and dashboards to improve efficiency, quality, cost effectiveness, and risk control with an accent on Value Stream Mapping, DMAIC, KPI frameworks, and Kaizen workshops. Focus on facilitating cross-functional improvement events, building ROI-based business cases, and sustaining enterprise process standards through SOPs and performance controls.

Location: Onsite in Santa Ana, California, 5 days per week, with occasional travel 3–4 times per year. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $79,000–$93,000 per year

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end process analysis using Value Stream Mapping, DMAIC, and related continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Execute moderate-scope improvement initiatives and recommend sustainable, data-driven solutions.
  • Plan and facilitate Kaizen workshops and other structured improvement events with cross-functional participants.
  • Develop and maintain standard work, SOPs, process documentation, controls, and performance standards.
  • Define KPIs and analyze operational and financial data, capacity, productivity, trends, and improvement results.
  • Prepare dashboards, business cases, ROI estimates, reports, and recommendations for leadership decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of related experience, or an advanced degree with limited professional experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in moderately complex business operations.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for analyses, reports, presentations, and communication with non-technical stakeholders.
  • United States work authorization is required; employment eligibility is validated through E-Verify.

Nice to have

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification; certification is required within a defined period if not already obtained.
