Industrial Engineer (Electric Aviation)

Location: South Burlington, Vermont, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain quality.
• Develop systems to monitor production workflows and track KPIs against project goals and timelines.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and quality assurance teams to refine production methods and resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Create process maps, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct time and motion studies, identify bottlenecks, and implement productivity improvements.
• Evaluate manufacturing tools, technologies, and equipment while supporting lean principles, flow balancing, and data-driven capital planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing, preferably in aerospace or electric vehicle production.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
• Experience with data analysis, statistical tools, CAD software, and manufacturing execution systems.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work varying shifts and perform indoor and outdoor manufacturing duties, including lifting, climbing, and operating material-handling equipment when required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or advanced certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Expert.
• Experience with automation, robotics, sustainability practices, lifecycle analysis, ERP systems, or advanced data visualization.
• Process improvement experience in aerospace manufacturing or electric aircraft and electric vehicle production.
