Strategic Operations (Risk)

Location: San Francisco, CA; in-person at the San Francisco Presidio office 3–4 days per week

Annual US base salary: $125,000–$150,000, exclusive of equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Support the Risk program requiring the most attention, including third-party risk, information security, model risk, privacy, financial risk, and operational risk.
• Learn risk programs, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and redesign processes to make them faster and more consistent.
• Build scripts, internal dashboards, AI-assisted review workflows, and system integrations.
• Support third-party diligence and monitoring, assess vendor and supplier risk, and define remediation steps.
• Design business continuity and disaster recovery exercises.
• Strengthen the privacy program and incorporate privacy considerations into prospective customer diligence.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience improving complex systems and driving adoption of change; risk experience is not required.
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar problems and develop a clear point of view.
• Experience identifying automation opportunities and building tools to improve manual processes.
• Technical fluency with the terminal, Python, Go, Apps Script, SQL, APIs, databases, and systems reasoning.
• Strong written communication, including the ability to prepare response memos, policy updates, and control narratives.
• Ability to organize multiple workstreams, manage stakeholders and tradeoffs, and escalate decisions appropriately.
