Medical Assistant (Women's Healthcare)

Location: Onsite in Pasadena, California, United States; Monday–Friday opening or closing shifts with rotating Saturday coverage as needed.

Salary: $21–$23 per hour.

What you will do

• Room patients, collect health information, take and document vitals, review health summaries, and maintain accurate medical records.
• Support providers by reviewing schedules, capturing patient context, and communicating clinical updates.
• Coordinate patient flow between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
• Support lab, imaging, pharmacy, diagnosis-code, and follow-up workflows.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection according to clinical and safety guidelines.
• Prepare, disinfect, restock, autoclave, and maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification or completion of a Medical Assistant training program, as required by applicable state or payer requirements.
• 1–2 years of experience in a clinical, ambulatory, primary care, women’s health, or patient-facing healthcare setting.
• Phlebotomy experience and experience taking and documenting vital signs.
• Comfort with electronic medical record systems and clinical documentation tools.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, empathy, discretion, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy clinic.
• Authorization to work in the United States and availability for the required onsite Monday–Friday schedule with rotating Saturdays.

Nice to have

• Experience in women’s health, primary care, gynecology, dermatology, or integrated care.
• Experience supporting LGBTQ+ patients and diverse communities.
• Experience with DrChrono, hirify.globalMD, or similar EMR systems.
• Experience with autoclaving, disinfection, supply management, and clinical inventory workflows.
• Understanding of data security and healthcare privacy protocols.
