Medical Assistant (Per Diem)

Location: Onsite across multiple clinic locations in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul, Minnesota area, including Highland Park, Crystal, Lyndale, Rosedale, and Eagan. Variable shifts as needed, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Travel between clinic locations is required.

Salary: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

What you will do

• Provide clinical, clerical, and technical coverage across clinics and adapt to different workflows.
• Perform venipuncture, collect and process specimens, conduct point-of-care testing, and prepare samples for external laboratories.
• Complete lab billing verification, Quest billing trailers, monthly lab audits, order tracking, and result documentation in the EMR.
• Room patients, record vital signs, update medical records, and assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer ordered intramuscular injections and medications, perform diagnostic testing such as EKGs, and transmit prescription refills.
• Schedule appointments, support portal setup and patient education, assist with chronic disease management outreach, and maintain clinic supplies and rooms.

Requirements

• Active Medical Assistant certification or diploma required.
• Phlebotomy training required.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide proof of citizenship or permanent residency.
• Ability to travel between multiple clinic locations as needed.
• Professionalism, confidentiality, strong organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
