Medical Assistant OBGYN Full Time Days

What you will do

• Support physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff by facilitating patient flow and preparing patients for examinations.
• Obtain and document vital signs, visit information, allergies, smoking history, and pharmacy details.
• Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure trays, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain examination rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, and medications.
• Communicate professionally with patients and the care team while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Perform specialty-related delegated procedures and other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current eligible Medical Assistant certification or documented eligibility to sit for an approved certification exam; certification must be attained within six months of employment.
• American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience.
• Strong computer skills.
• Signed acknowledgement that certification must be completed within six months as a condition of employment.

Nice to have

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
