Career Manager (Public Sector, Professional Services)

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States; expected to work in the office 4–5 days per week

Salary: $100,000–$200,000 USD base salary annually, plus potential government clearance differential and discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Oversee and continuously improve talent development, evaluation, feedback, and retention systems and processes.
• Develop consulting career development frameworks in partnership with leading consultants.
• Enhance performance management processes, including feedback cycles, performance reviews, and promotion calibrations.
• Advise consultants on career growth, learning, skill development, and engagement opportunities.
• Align talent development and retention initiatives with Customer Success leaders and regional business objectives.
• Provide proactive one-on-one counseling to a pool of approximately 50 consultants and support related operational processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Management, or Career Counseling within consulting or professional services.
• Experience managing a pool of resources and coaching individual consultants one-on-one.
• Ability to align workforce capability development with short- and long-term business objectives.
• Proven ability to develop talent in ways that support business performance and growth.
• Strong organization, facilitation, conflict-resolution, collaboration, and continuous-improvement skills.
