People Operations Specialist

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days per week at the Fenton, Missouri campus; St. Louis, Missouri

Salary: $110,000–$120,000 base salary per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Administer and optimize Rippling for contractor, instructional, and HQ employee populations.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready employee and contractor records.
• Build HRIS automations, workflows, and processes reflecting workforce classification and reporting requirements.
• Support payroll processing, compensation changes, contractor invoices, payments, and discrepancy resolution.
• Own onboarding, lifecycle administration, leave tracking, contract renewals, and offboarding for frontline staff.
• Support performance review cycles, policy rollouts, employee communications, and other People Operations initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or a related operational role.
• Experience supporting hourly workforces, contingent workers, or high-volume contractor populations.
• Strong HRIS skills; Rippling experience is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of hourly and program-based payroll operations.
• Strong attention to detail, process orientation, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work hybrid, including 3 days per week at the Fenton, Missouri campus.
