Engineering Manager (Fintech)

Location: Remote from Brazil; São Paulo, Brazil

What you will do

• Lead software engineering teams and guide technical direction, roadmaps, delivery, and team performance.
• Design scalable and secure solutions for complex technical and business problems with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle and raise standards for quality, security, testing, documentation, and delivery.
• Improve on-call processes, production stability, and incident response.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, solution design, hiring, mentoring, and professional development.
• Coordinate complex projects and strategic alignment with teams in Brazil and France.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with Java or Kotlin.
• 4+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, with results in large-scale global projects.
• Experience with the architecture and development of distributed systems.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Fluent English at C1+ level required.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience leading high-performing engineering teams of more than 10 engineers, including Senior and Staff-level professionals.
• Experience in financial services or fintech companies.
