Technology Designer New Graduate

Location: Columbus, OH, United States; full-time in office. Travel of up to 50% may include local, domestic, and international trips. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $75,000–$77,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop drawings, specifications, equipment layouts, system diagrams, schedules, and design calculations for low-voltage technology systems.
• Use Revit and other engineering and design software to create coordinated solutions in accordance with codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Conduct site visits and existing-condition assessments to document facilities and identify design considerations.
• Coordinate technology systems with architectural, electrical, mechanical, structural, and other building systems.
• Support construction documents, client meetings, project planning, scheduling, quality control, and technical reviews.
• Research technologies and design practices while progressively taking responsibility for project deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, electronics, computer, or related engineering, information technology, computer science, or another related STEM field, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of technical plan and specification development, electrical voltage and current, digital and analog signals, and basic IT networking topologies and protocols.
• Basic knowledge of BIM software and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, including potential overnight stays and air travel.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technical and project challenges.

Nice to have

• Internship experience in the building design consulting industry.
• Engineering in Training (EIT) license.
