Associate Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY / East Aurora, NY; remote candidates will not be considered.

Salary: $75,000–$100,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, analyze, develop, and test complex electronic systems for space and defense applications.
• Create schematics, PCB layouts, and simulation models using CAD software in collaboration with senior engineers.
• Validate conceptual solutions through trade studies, signal integrity, stress, sensitivity, worst-case, and derating analyses.
• Develop and execute tests at circuit-card, box, and system-integration levels.
• Document designs, analyses, and test results in clear technical reports.
• Support hardware failure investigations and prepare work estimates for new proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite in East Aurora, NY.
• Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with circuit modeling and simulation.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout; Allegro Capture CIS and PCB Editor are preferred.
• Familiarity with analog and mixed-signal circuit design.
