What you will do

• Design basic-complexity electrical systems, including power, lighting, grounding and bonding, special systems, raceways, and cable trays.
• Perform illumination, power load, conduit and wire sizing, short-circuit, voltage drop, and other electrical engineering calculations.
• Prepare basis of design reports, narratives, drawings, diagrams, schedules, installation details, and construction documentation.
• Use Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, BIM, drafting, and engineering calculation software.
• Coordinate designs with architects, engineers, designers, manufacturers, construction partners, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Conduct basic field investigations and support multiple projects under the direction of an experienced engineer.

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
• 0–3 years of experience, preferably in a design firm.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical design calculations and lighting, power, and special systems design.
• Ability to coordinate with clients and external partners and travel as required for project execution.

Nice to have

• Relevant design firm experience.
• Fundamentals of Engineering exam registration or completion.
• Experience conducting field surveys and supporting field reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
