Director, Program Management Office (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead strategic business projects and complex aerospace programs from concept through completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Define project scope, cost estimates, schedules, and standardized project controls.
• Manage risks, issues, changes, decisions, costs, resources, timelines, and project forecasts.
• Coordinate cross-functional work with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Mission Services, and other internal partners.
• Support supplier and customer contract drafting, negotiation, reviews, documentation, and related activities.
• Apply agile project management methods and identify process improvements that increase project efficiency and communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive project management experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high-technology industries.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional projects from initiation through completion and delivering within schedule and budget.
• Strong knowledge of project lifecycles, systems engineering principles, and commercial or government contract management.
• Proven leadership, stakeholder engagement, and ability to influence without formal authority.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency and ability to complete a U.S. government background investigation are required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in business, engineering, or management.
• PMP or PgMP certification.
• Experience supporting external customer or supplier negotiations.
