Senior Program Manager, National Security Programs (Aerospace)

Location: Metro DC / Washington, D.C. metropolitan area preferred; periodic travel to customer sites, hirify.global offices, and industry events is required.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end execution of mission-critical programs supporting Space Domain Awareness, Space Superiority, Missile Warning, and related national security initiatives.
• Manage program scope, schedules, costs, risks, dependencies, performance, contractual deliverables, and executive reporting.
• Serve as the primary customer-facing program lead for government and commercial stakeholders.
• Lead program reviews, technical interchange meetings, executive briefings, demonstrations, and operational transitions.
• Coordinate Radar Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Product Management, Mission Architecture, Modeling & Simulation, Operations, Business Development, and Program Controls.
• Support proposals, capture activities, contract growth, account strategy, and future mission opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Aerospace, Physical Sciences, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience managing technical programs, customer-facing initiatives, or federal contracts.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in complex technical environments.
• Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, aerospace, space, or defense programs.
• Strong understanding of program management, lifecycle execution, risk management, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain required security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting the U.S. Space Force, U.S. Air Force, Intelligence Community, NASA, or similar customers.
• Familiarity with Space Domain Awareness, Space Situational Awareness, space operations, radar systems, or missile warning missions.
• Experience with capture, proposals, customer growth initiatives, or cost-reimbursable, fixed-price, and time-and-materials contracts.
• PMP certification, a relevant master’s degree, or an active U.S. security clearance.
• Existing relationships within the national security space community.
