Compliance Operations Manager

Location: United States; fully remote

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 annual base salary, plus a target annual bonus of 15% and long-term incentive programs.

What you will do

• Manage SOC 2 readiness, fieldwork, remediation cycles, evidence collection, audit responses, documentation, and control narratives.
• Coordinate with auditors and internal stakeholders to keep the compliance posture audit-ready throughout the year.
• Support SOX strategy, control evaluations, gap assessments, and cross-functional uplift initiatives.
• Lead ISO 27001 readiness and certification work, including project timelines, milestones, and stakeholder accountability.
• Partner with engineering, IT, finance, legal, and business teams to validate evidence, maintain control ownership, and identify automation opportunities.
• Maintain control inventories, ownership mappings, audit calendars, process documentation, and compliance playbooks.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in compliance operations, IT or security compliance, audit, or a related field.
• Strong compliance and privacy background with direct experience supporting SOC 2 audits.
• Working knowledge of SOX and ISO 27001, or the ability to learn and apply new frameworks quickly.
• Experience managing multiple audit and compliance uplift workstreams and partnering with engineering, IT, and business teams.
• Comfort using AWS, Jira, GitHub, HubSpot, Google Workspace, and Slack.
• Excellent written communication, attention to detail, and accountability for accurate compliance records.

Nice to have

• Startup or high-growth company experience.
• Experience with compliance automation or GRC tooling.
• Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, or HIPAA.
• Experience supporting a first SOC 2, SOX, or ISO 27001 certification.
