Security/COMSEC SME and Project Manager

Location: Norfolk, Virginia, USA; requires CONUS/OCONUS travel and on-site COMSEC audits, shipboard installations, and shore-based equipment support.

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year, paid weekly.

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day Navy COMSEC account operations, inspections, compliance activities, reporting, and operational continuity.
• Provide cybersecurity and technical support for COMSEC infrastructure, networks, enclaves, and equipment.
• Conduct COMSEC audits and support Local Element management, equipment maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
• Support RMF security control selection, implementation, configuration, audits, and assessments.
• Develop COMSEC documentation, standard operating procedures, guidance, training materials, and recurring project deliverables.
• Oversee a small project team, managing personnel, schedules, costs, communications, quality, performance, and risk.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship, active Top Secret clearance, and a completed T5 background investigation.
• Qualification for CSWF 723 COMSEC Manager Advanced through an eligible bachelor’s degree, specified DoD or military training, or an accepted certification such as CISM, CISSO, FITSP-M, GCSA, GCIH, GSLC, or GICSP.
• 10+ years of experience in COMSEC management and operations, including at least 5 years managing Security/COMSEC projects.
• Experience with DoD cybersecurity and RMF processes, CMS-1, CMS-3, and COMSCINST 2280 series.
• Experience leading Navy COMSEC programs, managing personnel, developing security documentation, and controlling project cost, schedule, quality, operations, and risk.
• Availability for CONUS/OCONUS travel.
