Travel Clinical Educator (Surgical Technology)

Location: On-site in Decatur, Georgia; initial 11-week cohort assignment in the Daytona Beach, Florida area. Instruction runs Monday through Thursday, 7am–2pm EST. Candidates must be local to the assignment location or willing to travel for the cohort.

Salary: $45–$50 per hour

What you will do

• Teach hands-on surgical technology skills in an in-person lab setting.
• Demonstrate proper techniques and guide students through step-by-step practical tasks.
• Assess lab and clinical competency, evaluate required skills, and provide feedback.
• Support student remediation and troubleshoot instructional issues.
• Communicate with students and participate in weekly meetings with hirify.global’s internal team.
• Prepare and plan upcoming training modules as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience teaching surgical technology, including course delivery, assessment, and student support.
• 3+ years of experience working as a Certified Surgical Technologist in a clinical setting.
• Active NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist or NCCT TS-C certification.
• Experience using digital teaching tools and reading lesson plans.
• Experience teaching students from diverse backgrounds and with different abilities.
• Ability to work approximately 32 hours per week for the duration of each program.

Hiring process

• Interview with the Program Director, followed by a case study assignment.
• Team interview with a live teaching demonstration and final interview.
