Educational Consultant (Education Technology)

Location: Must live within 30 miles of Newark, New Jersey, or be open to relocating there; this is not a remote position. Own transportation and a valid driver's license are required. Travel up to 80% is required, including overnight national travel.

Compensation: $35–$65 per hour, depending on the assigned work.

What you will do

• Deliver on-site professional development and product training for teachers, coaches, and school leaders.
• Adapt workshops to participant needs within defined guidelines.
• Provide tailored support with lesson planning, pacing, implementation, and instructional practice.
• Help educators analyze assessment data and apply findings to instruction.
• Track training notes, complete assignments, and participate in observation, feedback, and coaching cycles.
• Travel frequently by car, plane, and public transportation to serve education partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience teaching, coaching teachers, and delivering professional development.
• Strong knowledge of Common Core State Standards or comparable K–8 standards.
• Fluency with digital tools, online assessments, and data-informed discussions with educators and leaders.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and professional development design.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, organization, time management, and computer skills.
• Must live near Newark or be willing to relocate, have personal transportation, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Nice to have

• Experience teaching at the secondary level, grades 6–12.
• Knowledge of Zoom or Webex.
• Bilingual ability.
