Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Onsite in New York, New York, United States

Salary: $225,000–$300,000 per year, including base salary and new-hire equity in Restricted Stock Units.

What you will do

• Design and deliver secure, scalable fullstack solutions integrating enterprise EHR systems and national health information exchange frameworks.
• Build and maintain FHIR REST/JSON and HL7 v2 integrations for compliant, real-time healthcare data exchange.
• Develop identity resolution and patient-matching capabilities using identifiers such as MRNs and NPIs.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, Product, and Health Information Management teams on compliant, audit-ready workflows.
• Collaborate with external vendors, troubleshoot integration issues, manage TST and PRD deployments, and maintain production reliability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of fullstack software engineering experience building scalable web applications and APIs.
• Proficiency with FHIR, REST/JSON, and HL7 v2 event-driven messaging.
• Experience with TEFCA, QHINs, Carequality, and enterprise EHR integrations, ideally Epic and Interconnect.
• Experience with secure API authentication, service accounts, audited system-to-system communication, and deployments across testing and production environments.
• Knowledge of high-assurance identity standards, biometric validation, document verification, EPCS, and audit logging.
• Strong cross-functional communication, mentoring, autonomy, and ability to explain technical concepts to mixed audiences.
