TL;DR
Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (Lean Six Sigma/Industry 4.0): Designing, validating, and improving manufacturing processes with Tier 1 suppliers and distribution centers with an accent on new product introduction, quality improvement, cost reduction, and process maturity. Focus on root-cause analysis, PFMEA, engineering changes, production BOM accuracy, tooling validation, and cross-functional DFX implementation.

Location: Hybrid; requires at least three days per week at one of the following U.S. locations: Lincolnshire, IL; Holtsville, NY; Austin, TX; Knoxville, TN; Buffalo Grove, IL; McAllen, TX; or Morris Plains, NJ. Work location may be modified based on business needs.

Salary: $108,960–$163,440 annual, plus a target annual cash incentive equal to 12% of base pay.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, analyze, implement, and validate manufacturing processes with Tier 1 suppliers and distribution centers.
  • Lead manufacturing and quality issue resolution through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Drive Lean Six Sigma and Industry 4.0 improvements, audits, maturity assessments, automation, digitization, line balancing, 5S, TPM, and continuous-flow layouts.
  • Support mass production and new product introduction, including engineering changes, deviations, manufacturing process validation, work instructions, and production BOM accuracy.
  • Manage cost-reduction initiatives, assets, fixtures, tools, labor models, MVA models, and project feasibility analysis.
  • Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams from concept phase through implementation to apply DFX principles and deliver process improvements.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering, logistics, or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Strong knowledge of process and industrial engineering, Lean and Six Sigma, design of experiments, and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience with new product launches, project management, Process FMEA, control plans, and error-proofing.
  • Experience creating cost models, conducting feasibility and ROI analyses, and preparing financial justifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with cross-functional product development, quality, safety, regulatory, and technology assurance teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience with GMP and manufacturing in medical devices, personal care, consumer electronics, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
