Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Wilmington, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $126,710.15–$190,065.22 per year, plus potential annual incentive and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Lead the development of new technologies and products from concept through production.
• Contribute as a senior technical expert in mechanical design and product development.
• Lead client communication and project management while balancing scope and timelines.
• Support multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, manufacturing partners, and industrial designers.
• Coach less experienced engineers through technical challenges and product design work.
• Develop breadboards, prototypes, and refined product designs using in-house prototyping capabilities.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 8–12 years of industry experience.
• Broad technical background and willingness to learn in unfamiliar fields.
• Experience with 3D CAD; SolidWorks is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead technical work, client communication, and project delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience with injection molding, machining, sheet metal, casting, or other manufacturing processes.
• Experience designing biomedical products or industrial automation systems.
• Consulting experience.
